Boiled Cookies

This is one of my favorite cookies. My grandmother has always made these for us growing up and I got the recipe from her a few years ago and have made several batches. It's very easy and doesn't really require a lot of ingredients. Most of the time, I have the ingredients stashed away in my pantry anyway.
WHAT YOU NEED:
4 tablespoons of cocoa powder

2 c. of sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 stick of butter
2 1/2 c. quick cooking oats

1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter

WHAT YOU DO:
Mix the cocoa, sugar, butter and milk together in a saucepan and bring to a boil, once bubbles cover the top, stir constantly for 1 1/2-2 minutes and remove from heat. Add vanilla, peanut butter and oats and stir until mixed well. Drop by the teaspoon full IMMEDIATELY onto wax paper and let cool. Makes about 3 dozen.

WHAT YOU GET:

  1. these are some of my favorites! although I have never tried it with crunchy pb. I'll probably stick with creamy, I'm not a huge peanut fan.
Thanks for putting all these good things on here, I love getting ideas for something new to make :)
